Translink FAIL

I have been sitting at the Dorrington bus stop for 50 minutes now. Nothing on TLS website or Twitter about delays.
I will be late.
I wonder if I can sue Translink for loss and consequential damages?
Seriously jacked off here.
Yesterday the Queensland rail network reached a new low.
My partner’s semi express train from the city to the sunshine coast failed to stop at Burpengary, the driver just forgot to stop. And to make matters worse, when the train reached the next station, a south bound train was on the other platform but the rail operators did not ask the driver to wait for the passengers to transfer across. This left several people waiting for over 30 minutes on the south bound platform for the next train.
Is it not bad enough that trains are constantly late, canceled & over crowded? Now they are failing in the most fundamental area of public transport, stopping at designated pickup & set down locations.
After requesting a refund for her ticket my partner was informed “that was not Translink’s policy”. If Telstra, JB-Hi FI or Coles were to respond in this way to a complete system / product failure how would the public & government respond?
Ask yourself this. If two identical lines running from the city to the sunshine coast existed (this could be said for any line on the network), one run by Translink & the other run by a competitor, how long do you think Translink would continue to do business this way? Would they continue to treat customers with complete contempt? Would they continue to cut services? Would they continue to allow the dangerous over-crowding during peak services?
It is obvious that Translink pay no attention to customer feedback. Why would they, it would only bite into profits. It is time the consumer watch dog stepped in & imposed extremely strict operating rules & regulations on the business, and if after a set period of time Translink has not greatly improved the product they provide a newly created operating body should take over.
Is it any wonder that people don’t use public transport? This is a complete disgrace.
